HANNA

 

Have I told you about Hanna the series? Here is another one that I could go out of breath gushing about. I have seen season 1 and it's exquisite. This may very well bring wonder woman to shame, depending on who you ask of course. The cinematography and the detail could make me weep. And if you are looking for a flick that shows powerful female leads, my good friend, have you arrived or what. The strength in combat takes me back to the Nikita days. I liked that series as well.

Season 2 did not disappoint either, it was a tasty morsel, one you want to last but end up devouring nonetheless. Gobbled it up in under 24 hours.

Season 3 is here with us and I planned on watching it as soon as yesterday. Mine is to list a few things that you may be interested in and give you a review as per my own experience without spoiling the experience for you, and yours is to decide.

I’ll see if I can put in a sentence or two more before I send this to you but it’s as set as it’s going to get. It’s still as mysterious and secretive as I had hoped. One thing I quite don’t like though is the previews that come hours or whole episodes before they happen. I like to be surprised, it is a movie after all and that largely interferes with my imagination.

Okay, I’ll bite. Enthralling, yes, yes, Captivating, you don’t even have to ask.

Short and sweet (depends on who you ask since it’s 3 seasons) with no lags in sight. Was left wanting on this one.

May yet come back for a marathon a few years down the line, am even considering starting again now but no. I’ll wait.

Let me not rant you to death before you get to it.

TOOTHPICK

 

People say that experience is the best teacher, they also say that the more you age the more of it you acquire. Some even tell you to listen to your elders or those that have already learned from experience. This is a whole topic along with sayings attached to it as trimmings. Something like “one thorn prick is worth a whole wilderness of warning”.

Am not going to get into this because I don’t have enough time nor pages or words to sum up the whole experience. Today we will talk about just a small part of it as experienced through a toothpick.

Growing up, I had two molars removed, I couldn’t get braces then and I can’t now either, so there are these spaces in between my teeth that were left. This made it very difficult for me to eat meat but as I grew up I found a solution, yes, you know it “toothpicks”

These I carried in my bag, pocket, made sure wherever I sat there was one or two, just in case I needed it. Got comfortable with the whole thing until experience caught up with me.

Ladies and gentlemen, have you ever sat on a toothpick, no really, have you sat on one when you were bone tired and had just arrived home and were super glad to get home and rest? Well, I did, Don’t under estimate the speed at which you can get back up from a full on body and mind set on sitting down with every kilogram in your bones. Here is where the science is at, who said you cannot defy gravity… they need to sit on a tooth pick.

How I got back up can only be referred to as lightning speed. Here in lies the experience. Ever since that day, you will rarely find a toothpick in my bag. Don’t get me wrong, I still use them but am not about to sit on another, I search for them like you would an IED.

Any who, here comes a morsel of experience, you can decide to take it or leave it but experience, experience is one teacher that makes one take a lesson that could be hard to forget in a hurry, if ever.
