Gave it a 3/5

Well, this went to the deep end first. Left me shaking in my boots, with every line, kept remembering my horror watching days that I had left waaay behind. You know the feeling you get when you see the object of your phobias like say a snake for me, the one where you jump all day after the fact when there is nothing there… yeah, this is that.

It started with fun and games, jokes that can have one laughing till they snort, but it was darker than  expected having read the previous two, and I for one don't do dark. Used to, in my spring chicken days… not anymore. Figured I got nothing to gain by scaring myself silly.

Anywho the author is a spectacular writer but am out.

As usual, one man’s meat…

So, there you have it.

Forward if you can

Happy reading.

It flowed better than the first one but made me understand the first one was setting a stage for this one.

The book is enthralling, having read it in half a day, the flow is smooth and on every step of the way, the questions you get along the way are answered.

The curses though ( I don't like them)

over all, the characters are mature, no lag in the story and it's a good read.

You could try it and form your own opinion.

Gave it a 3/5

This is my first work to read from this author, it was a surprise and packed a punch. Really liked it.

The characters came out in a way that left you wanting to read just a bit more to find out what was going on. I loved that though this was a romantic book, there was no aspect of the characters’ life that was overdone, everything was balanced. It also showed their thoughts separate from one another, (a book where we see both characters thoughts as a separate entity from one another and also when together as opposed to thoughts of one character describing the other) these are my favorite.

The reason for my rating even with the praise and all is because more of this book focused on the ones to come. This being a series, would have wanted to see more into the lives of this books characters as well as what was to come…maybe more pages would have sufficed.

All in all, loved it and will definitely read the ones after.

P.S: If you like Share.

ALPHA'S TEMPTATION

No. 2

ALPHA'S TEMPTATION BY RENEE ROSE.

I gave it 2 stars because it started out well and with promise. The first few pages felt like something worth sinking teeth into.

Then came the explicit scenes that were brash at best for me. First they were inserted without preamble. They started getting to me when the girl started crying and within seconds they were kissing... kissing is not bad but the story had great potential, the characters had full lives that could have been explored better, their emotions were swept under the rag in favor of you know what. The story felt too rushed, like throwing in something in between before the next explicit scene. For me that did not connect well. I like to see character development and weight in which attraction brings romance and the rest.

Also, BDSM is a big no no for me. The swearing involved didn't appeal to me at all.

Overall, I'll just stop here. Was really psyched to read them all at once but no, am afraid this is not for me.

SHORTCAKE

 ...of book reviews.

#No 1

Shortcake by Lucy Watson

I enjoyed this book immensely.

Could tell this work was well thought out by the connections apparent from each chapter, getting the pieces together as as the book goes along, also, this author did her research and/or watched a bunch of movies too before writing.

Hard work is written all over this book and I love it, the story too. No lags in sight.

There is something I would have loved to see more of though, Ben's side of thought and emotions. It felt like Emelia was starring with Ben as her sidekick. We (I) never got to get thoughts from Ben alone like we did with Emelia who we even saw/read with friends and her thoughts were brought out more clearly. We only saw him through Emelia's eyes.

All in all its a good book, wouldn't be surprise if I came back a few years to reread...what's with trying to read half asleep.

Happy reading folks... might be well worth your while.

Oh, yeah! was the next book written in 2020 or... if yes please someone drop the title here. Thanks.

COVID-19 has put the mental health of an entire generation at risk.

COVID-19 has put the mental health of an entire generation at risk.

Let's be candid about the last two years or so...
Our children and young adults have been exposed to challenges that have affected them directly in every aspect of their lives.

As adults some of us have learnt that at one time or the other challenges occur in our lives, but our children did not have the time and space to know what can happen in ones day to day activities because of lack of exposure as well as experience.

Covid-19 threw them in the thick of it, schools were interrupted, lifestyles changed overnight and some of them experienced conflicting adults.

When you consider all of the above and add on it that most adults rarely if at all pay close attention to their children (unless its about provisions and the likes) let alone ask after their emotional wellbeing, then you get the picture.

We are saying, ask a child, your child, your friends child what's on their mind. Remember, a child's opinion also matters. Don't let them become invisible in plain sight. The future of the next generation matters.

LEGIT WAYS YOU CAN EARN MONEY ONLINE

 EARN MONEY ONLINE FROM HOME

1. Freelancer.com

This is a freelancing website that has millions of jobs and millions of essay writers as well

First, you will need to login.

Your success rate here will depend on your patience. Having proof of work previously done is an added advantage, If you don't have any, don't let this put you down...just be consistent and if you can, pay for more bids which will give you more exposure and visibility hence better chances of getting hired.

In this, patience and perseverance is key

2. Fiverr.com

This is also a freelancing site.

If you are a beginner there is no better site to begin with than this one, since you can gather more experience and also learn a lot about pretty much everything to assist on your freelancing career.

In this you will have to do an English exam after completing several steps to make yourself visible by putting your bid online.

Visibility is key here.

3. Guru.com

Make sure to login and verify your account as soon as you are able.

Verification will help you get your hands on more bids. Lack of which you will still get bids but you will be a bit limited.

How well you phrase your bid will also increase your bid ranking.

Here also, perseverance is key.

4. Remotasks

You will need to sign in to this to get access.

After signing in they take you through a training that is followed by a test that you must pass to continue.

Choose tasks starting from the easy ones going on to difficult ones. The easy ones give less money but they are good to boost your morale and wet your feet to get the feel of it before you move on to the difficult more rewarding ones.

Note: for every task you pick, they train you first then you can carry on.

5. Swagbucks

This is not only about surveys but also much much more.

You can participate in surveys to earn some money and also shopping and playing games for money.

If you already play games, then there is no harm in getting a few coins while at it. You can get cash back even after shopping.

6. Point Club

login and find out if you can participate in surveys

7.Survey roundtable

This one is also good. You can give it a try.

8. Respondent

This pays a whole lot more than most or any of the surveys that I have seen so far.

There is a catch though, they do it physically that is, when you are visible and speaking with them online. They are well worth the trouble though. Their pay is very high.

Just make sure you pick one that you are well versed about because you may very well be required to speak for an hour or so. They do pay you for your time.

9. Timebucks

Pays for surveys but you can also watch videos, slide shows and much much more to earn something.

Their highest paid item is the surveys.

POINTS TO NOTE

Make sure you have a good internet connection.

The survey sites can help you earn a little something but don't expect to become a millionaire or anything...well, you can pay bills.

you may not be able to access some survey sites or surveys themselves depending on your region. This has everything to do with who or what the persons' giving out the surveys need.

Be consistent

Be patient

Don't give up.

HANNA

Have I told you about Hanna the series? Here is another one that I could go out of breath gushing about. I have seen season 1 and it...
